HO Soccer Glove Care
Goalkeeper gloves do not last forever, but proper care improves grip and extends service life. Soft premium latex usually provides the best grip but wears faster, especially on artificial turf and with frequent use.
Before first use
Rinse new gloves gently in lukewarm water before first use, preferably twice, to remove production residue and activate the latex. Gloves supplied with protective plastic on the palm can often be used directly.
After training and matches
Rinse away sweat and dirt as soon as possible with lukewarm water. If needed, use a small amount of mild detergent. Avoid washing machines, hair dryers, radiators and tumble dryers.
Drying
Air dry at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and strong heat.
Artificial turf
Gloves wear faster on artificial turf. Avoid pushing yourself up with the palms against the ground.
Good habits
- Keep one pair for matches and one for training.
- Choose the correct size for the best fit and service life.
- Keep palms slightly damp before use for improved grip.
- Store gloves clean and prevent the latex palms from resting against each other.
Well-maintained goalkeeper gloves provide better grip, longer life and greater confidence in goal.
